And what a time to be away...
Only recently two maniacs unleash bloodshed on the streets of London in a very Spookesque way and the Media has its cake and eats it and wants seconds.
And now the Internet is the root of all evil, not only pornography (and child pornography) but Jihadist extremism. The two maniacs were described by one onlooker as looking like Muslims. Twenty years ago they would have been described as "Black" and forty years ago as "Communists".
Bradley Manning (who sounds like he should be on a British soap opera) is just about to find out why people don't publicly publish state secrets and especially after signing secrets acts. Lets be clear here, he is no freedom fighter or civil rights activist, he is a moron. He will face the full wrath of Obama and spend the next 100 years in Guantanamo trying to email Julian Deranged for help.
And help wont arrive.
On the bright side the collective known as "Anonymous" have been teaching the "EDL" a few lessons on web security and also been quoted as saying "Your constant belligerence, like a pack of raving ignoramuses, furthers only bigotry and segregation. You have angered us considerably and summoned our wrath irrevocably."
This i find highly amusing. Only last night Baxter and I were discussing the rise of the far right and how recent events have been hijacked not only by the media (with their 24hr parade of banality and "comment") but by the morons that rally behind the EDL / BNP / BM / NF or whatever stupid an-acronym they have come up with.
I am more irritated than usual. Syria is turning in on itself and using chemical weapons on its population and the west looks on in bemusement and mild indignation.
25% of the UK population is now officially fat and TV is now full of the New Terrorism documentaries.
And the spud face nipper scores in Brazil.
And Michael becomes the least popular name in Britain.
